REQUEST FOR A HELP TO EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN NEPAL

We are very much concerned about the devastating earthquake which hits in Nepal on April 25. We hope that all of you are worried about this news as we have many friends living there.

It was the most powerful disaster to strike Nepal which killed more than 7,000 people and injured more than twice as many. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire villages flattened, destroying centuries-old buildings at UNESCO World heritage sites. The three major towns of the Kathmandu valley in Nepal- Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur were severely affected. We can see the photos, videos after earthquake in different news channels. Many organizations have started sending aid but still Nepal needs more to get rid of this terrific situation.

APCC already started fund raising campaign 『APCC OMOIYARI Donation for Nepal 』 for earthquake victims from May till July and will hand over the collected fund to this year’s Nepal PA during the 27th APCC.

The vision of BCIO itself taught us to have an ‘OMOIYARI’ spirit and now its time to get on the action and help each other to overcome from this unfavorable condition. Let’s use our BC network and start fund raising activity for the Nepal people to overcome from the miserable situation.

If you/your BC would like to do fund raising activity then please start doing it. We already contacted BC Nepal and got information that donations like water, food, financial aid are helpful for rebuilding the affected area. If your BC would like to give a donation to earthquake victims, please contact to the following members of BC Nepal. They will help you to reach your donated materials in the concerned area.
