Guideline for the BRIDGE CLUB Work Group (BCWG) Coordinator

BCIO is inviting experienced BC members to work with the BCIO Management Team as BRIDGE CLUB Work Group Coordinators. Responsibility of BCWG Coordinator is to help BCIO management, maintaining information and communication flows between BCIO management and BC.

If you are a highly motivated person and are interested to become BCWG Coordinator, please read through the following information and send us the necessary information before the due date.

BCWG Coordinator Term and Inauguration

1. The BCWG Coordinators will be inaugurated by BCIO.

2. The official term for BCWG Coordinators is around 2~3 years, from their inauguration on BRIDGE CLUB Presidents Meeting, until the inauguration of the new Coordinators on the following BC Presidents Meeting.Job Description

Each BCWG Coordinator will lead two BC Work Groups. All 41 BRIDGE CLUBs are grouped into 6 BC Work Groups. Each BC work group consist of about 7 BRIDGE CLUBs. The country members of BC Work Group are shuffled every 2 or 3 years. 

a. Make contact and maintain communication/interaction within the BC Work Groups in charge.

b.Confirm the Presidents in their Work Group, whether information/announcement from BCIO is received and understood.

c. Motivate, encourage, and make sure the BRIDGE CLUB do the Action Plan within due date.

d. Suggest solution, if possible, for problem faced by BRIDGE CLUB.

e. Organize online meeting within the Work Group every month.

f. Report any progress and result to BCIO Management.

All the duties of BC Work Group Coordinator are to be done via internet so he or she has to be an excellent online (internet) communicator.

Eligible to apply for BC Work Group Coordinator: Must have been a Former BCIO Head Office Member or a Former/Current BC President

Necessary document for BC Work Group Coordinator:

Any applications that do not meet these guideline (e.g. incomplete documents, overdue submission, using old Application Form and so forth) will not be accepted.

The following documents are required for BC Work Group Coordinator application:

1. Written Application Form (Download the application form from here Application-form_BCWG Coordinator.doc  . Be careful not to use the old version application form).

2. Application Video: Applicant must submit video application as a part of an application. Please check the instruction from here. Application Video Instruction.docx

3. Must submit one recommendation letter either from your BC President or Liaison Officer or Former BCIO Head Office Member.

Selection method: BCIO Head Office selects and determines the finalists with the APCC secretariat. The BCIO Head Office will announce the selection result by the end of December 2019.
