Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival

The Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival was held on a hot day in February at the town square. With thousands of people it was tricky finding each other, but once together we tried all sorts of Japanese foods from yakitori, takoyaki, ramen, soba, gyoza and refreshing macha ice cream. We were all reminded of our time in Fukuoka watching Taiko drumming, practicing origami and being wowed by clever anime costumes. An amazing day to reflect on our time in Japan and its incredible culture. We hope to make this event an annual activity in our schedule.
