Christmas Gifts for Not-So-Fortunate Children

Generosity and solidarity have always been at the heart of BRIDGE CLUBS' culture. These values came to something tangible with the initiative taken by Bridge Club India to spread Christmas cheers for not-so-fortunate kids in Nagpur. Christmas is a season for sharing the spirit of love and forgiveness and builds the flame of charity in our heart.

The Club called few underprivileged kids to decorate the Christmas tree with hangings (Gifts, stars, musical instruments, stockings, candies, etc) and also Crib depicting a biblical scene. The celebration included group dance in which children had a great time with each other. To satisfy their hunger, they were given biscuits and Indian sweets and then followed by Christmas gifts. The kids seemed to be really happy on receiving individual gift from the Club. These children reside in slums were equally sensible and talented and were aware of the festival and its history, that was a little surprise for the members of the BC India. We all had a great time together.
This activity was planned and executed by two Junior Ambassadors ( Saniya Date (2008) & Ankita Kokas (2002) ) and one Peace Ambassador (Nidhi Parekh (2011)). In this activity, 7 kids and 2 adults belonging to underprivileged group participated.
