Republic Day Celebration- 26th January 2012
To celebrate 62nd Republic Day, an activity was organised were more than 100 students from well-established schools and colleges of the city (Gwalior) participated in. We organised "ONE PAGE PARAGRAPH WRITING Competition" along with the slogan writing on "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO FOR YOUR NATION??" Very creative as well as patriotic ideas were shared by the students. All participated with great vigour. The students who participated were between the age range of 15 years to 20 years. It was a different experience for the students as well as BC India Members { (Mridula Vaishya (JA 1999),Vividha Gupta (JA 2011), Ashima Agarwal (JA 2002) }. The themes of the slogans and paragraphs focused on Indian current issues like girl child abortion should be banned, education for all, equality among religions, say no to honour killing, no child marriage, etc. Three eminent people of the city were invited to judge the competition. The names as follows honourable Justice Sudhir Chaudhry , Justice Anoop Tripathi and Miss Jha. Total 4 prizes were given- 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes and one consolation prize. After distributing the prizes, the students were given motivational speech by all the three judges. The activity was conducted in the evening and duration was 2 hours.
