Donation for Pakistan

On Sep. 18th, We, BCJ, asked for a donation for Pakistan.

20 members (including Salman and Karuna!) joined the donation;

we worked from 13:45 to 16:00 in center of Fukuoka-city.

We achieved to collect ￥71,196.00 ($830.00)!!!!! We will send the donated money to Pakistan Embassy.

We hope it will help Pakistan and wish Pakistan will be recovered soon.

We are the BRIDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monthly Meeting

On 22nd August, BCJ had a monthly meeting at APCC office. It was the first meeting after 22nd APCC's invitation program. 14 BCJ members, 3 BCJ support volunteers, Mr. Iwamoto, Mr. Kurashige and APCC coordinator Ms. Kaijo attended.

Here are topics of the meeting:
1. Mr. Iwamoto, BCIO chairman, was just back from Indonesia on the day. So he talked about BC Indonesia’s activity, what is the Bridge Club, what is PA, etc.

2. Ayumi, BCJ President, talked about activities what BCJ did for 22nd APCC (especially to some members who couldn’t join the activities for some reasons). And she shared her experiences at PA camp.

3. Ms. Kaijo, APCC coordinator, talked and showed us a lot of pictures about activities what other BCs are doing. And she showed us BCBD’s “Green World” movie.

4. Miho and Joji, BCJ vice presidents, explained about next common activity. Then BCJ members discussed what we can do in Fukuoka to save the earth.

Last, We watched a short movie of PA performance at Exchange Camp. And some members shared their experience of 22nd APCC.

All members were very interested in joining PA program. And they seemed very excited having many activities from this year.

Next monthly meeting will be held on 18th September.
