Annual General Meeting 2019

Bridge Club Maldives had its Annual General Meeting held on 1st February 2019 with a total of 16 participants. 

To begin with, the President, Niuma presented a report on the highlights of 2018. On this, she also noted that there are 3 vacancies in the executive committee which is to be elected during the meeting. 

The vacancies are;

• Vice President
• General Secretary
• Activities coordinator

The election was held there and the following are the results;

• Vice President

There was only one nominee for this post. That is, Mohamed Mahid Moosa (JA 1991, PA1999). With total 15 votes he was elected for this post.

• General Secretary 

1. Aishath Nafha Abdulla (JA 2013) -12 votes
2. Abdulla Shiyaahu (JA 2013) - 7 votes

The first round of voting ended up in a draw of 8-8. Therefore, the advisory membboard tha were given two voting rights to finalize the winner.

• General Secretary

1. Abdulla Shiyaahu (JA 2013) - 4 votes 
2. Yoosuf Yaaniu (JA 2013) - 11 votes
3. Nul votes - 1

• President - Niuma Ahmed (JA 1999, PA 2017)
• Vice President - Mohamed Mahid Moosa (JA 1991, PA 1999)
• General Secretary - Aishath Nafha Abdulla (JA 2013)
• Activities Coordinator - Yoosuf Yaaniu (JA 2013)
• Treasurer - Ahmed Mush-hid (JA 1993)
• Public Relations Coordinator - Aminath Shaffau (JA 1995)
• Advisory members: Aminath Yumna Waheed (Chaperone 2017), Mariyam Saeeda (Chaperone 1992).

After the election, the new Activities coordinator announced the activity plan for the year and all the 16 participants joined in the discussion.
