2006 JAs' Sandbank clean up!

Hello Everyone!

Summer holidays in Myanmar is known as the best time to have vacations together with the ones you love. On 11th April 2013, seven 2006 former JAs gathered and headed for Nyaung Chaung Thar sandbank, a popular place to have a wonderful vacation which is 60 kilometres from Yangon. We started our trip at  4:3O am and arrived there at 6:00 am. On our way to the sandbank, we all talked about our best memories in Fukuoka and how we have grown up.Many things have changed during these 7 long years but our friendship remained the same. We kept in touch with each other through phone and letters during those years and now, all of us are on facebook and will not lost contact anymore. The sandbank itself was polluted with rubbish from the restaurants and motels. All of us put on disposable gloves, used large plastic bags and equipments and cleaned up the area. The parents of the former JAs also helped out. A huge area of the sandbank was cleaned up and at the same time, we all had a wonderful time together. We headed back to Yangon in the afternoon.

Special thanks to APCC for giving us the opportunity to become JAs and get irreplaceable friends of our lives. We had so much fun together and we are planning to have another reunion when all the friends from different parts of the country visit Yangon again.
