Share your APCC Experiences, 2014 Delegates!

It has been 3 months since Myanmar Delegates arrived back to Yangon from Fukuoka. During the months, there were small activities of the BRIDGE CLUB such as meeting Ms. Kei Yamada ( APCC volunteer who visited Myanmar), making 'Thank you! APCC' posters by 2014 delegates and writing the 26th APCC diaries reports.

On 10th October 2014, the BRIDGE CLUB Myanmar members and Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA) arranged APCC experience talk event for 2014 Delegates.

The event was started by speeches of Mr. Myint Soe, Vice President of MAJA and Mr. Hideaki Higashi , second secretary, (Culture and Information Section) Embassy of Japan in Myanmar .

Mr. Hitoshi Iwamoto , the former Managing Director of BCIO also came to give a brief speech about APCC and BCIO. He also mentioned how happy and thankful he is to have Myanmar Delegates re-connected to the APCC after 7 years gap. Although Mr. Iwamoto came to Myanmar two times during the last 2 years and met up with former officers of the Ministry of Education in Myanmar, there wasn't any progress but fortunately, after meeting with Ms. Mu Mu ( current liaison officer) last year, the JAs were selected and the dreams of APCC and BCMM came true in the 26th APCC. BC Myanmar prepared Certificates for being official members of the BCMM and they were awarded to the 2014 Junior Ambassadors  by Mr. Hitoshi Iwamoto. That made the ambassadors and their parents' hearts filled with pride and joy.

Afterwards, the 2014 Delegates gave presentations on how the APCC changed their lives and how happy they were during their stay in Fukuoka. I was really impressed to see their Power Point and video presentations which they have prepared for a month. The eleven year-old JAs, PA and Chaperon give their 5- minutes presentations in English smoothly that surprised everyone who attended the occasion.

As a president of BCMM, I gave a short presentation on how the Junior Ambassadors should work for the BRIDGE CLUB and participate actively in the events. We asked the parents' of the JAs for their support and thanked them for their continuous support before and after going to Fukuoka.

As usual, we took group photos in the end of the event! I would say this event is one of the most successful events in BCMM history of 2 years as the JAs started joining the BRIDGE CLUB and were highly motivated to become future global leaders!
