Junior Ambassador Preparation for the 2019 Bridge Summer Camp

During monthly meetings, the JA’s trained and prepared for the Bridge Summer Camp. The curriculum was modified from the previous year to include more practice with Japanese phrases as per the recommendation of the 2018 JA’s. The 2018 JA’s felt this would enrich the homestay and the school visit experience for the 2019 JA’s.

The 2019 delegation was very fortunate that both Luke’s were already studying Japanese so that they and their families were able to contribute Japanese vocabulary flash cards for everyone to study. The delegation was divided into two teams named Athletics and Hawks with the two Luke’s as the team captains. As the teams competed with each other, the Luke’s did an excellent job helping their teammates learn the Japanese phrases and Lewanna, Holly, and Finn did an equally excellent job learning the phrases!
