Bridge Club Pakistan's Screening of the APCC Movie

Logistics:
Date: 17th August, 2013
Time: 11 AM to 2 PM
Venue: Media Center, Jinnah Sports Complex, Islamabad

Event Summary:

Bridge Club Pakistan kicked off this year’s Common Activity, “Peace by Piece” by organizing a private screening of the APCC Movie for Junior Ambassadors, Peace Ambassadors and their friends and family. The event took place in the heart of Islamabad at a very attractive location and received an immensely positive response from the audience that attended it.

The main motive for this screening was to expose the BCP members with the movie and to announce the beginning of the Common Activity so that the BCP members would hold their own screenings of “Midori’s Flying Goldfish” in their schools as well as create enthusiasm among their class fellows to participate in the art contest “Peace by Piece”. The screening served both purposes well since the BCP members not only understood what this year’s Common Activity was but also started to come up with ideas about how they would carry on the Activity in their schools. Apart from the screening presentations were made on the topics of APCC, Bridge Club and a Certificate Distribution event was also undertaken to appreciate the efforts of those BCP members that helped organize the event.

Feedback on the Screening by BCP Members:

“It felt so good to be reunited with my APCC friends through this event. I am so blessed to be a part of it. It’s been 4 years and today all the memories came rushing in my mind like it all happened yesterday - An unforgettable journey to a beautiful place like Japan. Thanks to APCC! “

Elina Shawkat, JA-2009

“I had an awesome and spectacular day at Sports Complex! The movie "Midori's Flying Goldfish” was just amazing with themes like "NEVER GIVE UP" and "ITS OK TO BE DIFFERENT" and I would say so that it’s one of the best movies that I ever saw! The attendance was huge and it is the largest number of participants ever to be present at a BCP event. We learned about our new common activity "PEACE BY PIECE" which is quite spectacular and the name says it all!
I hope that we will have such brilliant activities in the future!!

“Today’s activity was really great, we received a very good response from all who attended and I loved the movie! Thank you to all the volunteers who made the event possible!”

Fatima tuz Zehra, JA-2008

“What we witnessed today was just amazing! Today’s event was a proof of how impactful Bridge Club and the message of APCC truly are. The hard work and the unfaltering effort of the BCP Members that made this event a reality deserves nothing short of a standing ovation. But this is only the beginning as we, the members of Bridge Club Pakistan, continue to work hard to make BCP a strong and healthy branch of the tree planted by APCC. “Peace by Piece” received a lot of positivity today and will continue to do so in the future! We will make sure that we spread the message of peace, love, equality, celebration of ethnic diversity in our community and make this Common Activity a shining beacon for everyone! We Are The Bridge!”

                                                                                    Moiz Rehan. JA 2007

“Thank you very much everyone for contributing towards today's activity. Managing an event for an audience of over 80 PAs, JAs and chaperons with their family was not an easy task without any institutional support, but Alhamdulillah we pulled it off because of our teamwork. The credit goes to all of you!
This year's common activity requires the spirit that we exhibited today and we have to keep on working hard as a unit. Pull Up your Socks guys because we have loads of work to do! Stay tuned for more updates!”
