Bridge Club Pakistan's "Millennials For A Cause" Cloth Drive

Activity Summary:
Bridge Club Pakistan in a joint initiative with Roots Millennium Campus and under the leadership of BCP Member Moiz Rehan (JA 2007) organized a Winter Cloth Collection Drive for Quetta Earthquake Victims last month. The project met an overwhelmingly positive response from the school’s students as the total quantity of donations exceeded 120 kilograms. These donations included but were not limited to warm clothes, coats, blankets, and underwear and bed sheets. Once these donations were collected, they were organized and packed into boxes by Volunteers from the school and then were shipped to Quetta to Bridge Club Pakistan’s President Mir Murad Baloch through PIA Cargo and were received in the first week of January.
The donors of clothes will be awarded certificates of appreciation and a special certificate with be awarded to the school authorities without whom the project could not have been successful.
The clothes collected at Islamabad along with food items arranged by Quetta members of BCPwere distributed under the supervision chairman BCP Mir Murad Baloch and Kamran Sabir Baloch. All the items were safely handed over to Dr. Asif Shahwani Coordinator for Disaster Management .
Dr, Asif Shahwani was very happy to see the efforts of BCP and he praised BCP for its work for humanity in the time of crisis for the people affected by the earthquake in the rural areas of Balochistan.
Dr. Asif Shahwani:
“After receiving the items from the members of BCP made me very happy and I love the vision of BCP for helping humanity without any political, religious or racism and the OMOIYARI spirit is the need of the time so that we can prosper in our future and youngsters associated with BCP are the shining stars of the future and asset for our country. I thank everyone for helping their brothers and sisters in the time of crisis. May ALLAH succeed BCP in the future"
