THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE BCSL

The Annual General Meeting of the Bridge Club Sri Lanka was held on 19^th of September 2010 at Isipathana College, Colombo-05 with the participation of 15 members’ .The officials of the Ministry of Education including the liaison officer of the APCC in Sri Lanka attended the meeting.

Many issues were discussed at the meeting and some favourable decisions were taken at the meeting. First the president of the BCSL explained about the 22^nd APCC as the PA and discussed about the decisions taken at the APCC.Some 2010 JA s expressed their experiences on APCC.

We discussed about the common activity for the coming year. There were many suggestions, and finally we decided to hold a 2 days environment campaign on October as the initial step of the common activity of the year. And there was another proposal to distribute the stationeries among poor students.

Then there was a suggestion to amend the constitution of BCSL.So the liaison officer and some members expressed their ideas on this matter. Considering all the suggestions, we decided hold another meeting on 3^rd of October for the senior members of the BCSL to consider about the amendments that should make in the constitution.

Then we discussed about the mission project 2011. Majority of the members were eager to act as a host family in the project. In terms of my perception the meeting was a very successful one, specially the 2010 JA s were very happy to get together again. The liaison officer of APCC, Mr. N.Madawanarachchi,chaperon of 2010 APCC, Mrs. Kamani Perera, Mr.Wijethunga and Mr. Rilar represented the ministry of education at the meeting.
