Proposal Guideline to Host BC Presidents Meeting in 2025

Overview:

The purpose of this meeting is to bring together all BC Presidents to develop a comprehensive strategy for developing and strengthening the BC Network.

The inaugural BC Presidents Meeting took place in Fukuoka in 2013, followed by the second meeting in Bali, Indonesia, in 2015, and the third meeting in Fukuoka, Japan, in 2018. The BC Presidents Meeting will be held every two years, alternating in Japan and other countries. The 6th BC Presidents Meeting is scheduled for 2025.

Objectives of BC Presidents Meeting:

The primary goals of the BC Presidents Meeting are to support the development of BCIO infrastructure, promote strong collaboration among BCs to utilize the BC Global network effectively, and cultivate leadership and management skills among BC members and to foster Global BRIDGE leaders.

To determine the next host country for the BC Presidents Meeting, we kindly request written proposals from all interested BCs. These proposals should address the following criteria:

1. Accommodation & Space: Can you arrange suitable accommodation (hotel, host family, or government/private hostel accommodations) as well as secure a suitable conference/meeting space?

2. Funding: Please provide an explanation of how the host country intends to financially support this program. Please note that participants are responsible for their own airfare.

3. Transportation: Could you manage local transportation, airline arrivals & departures?

4. Meeting activities: Please outline the types of meetings and discussions that will take place during the 2-3-day Presidents Meeting. You may consider including a keynote speaker and/or special performance.

5. Cultural Experiences: Discuss potential opportunities for sightseeing, school visits, and cultural workshops.

6. Visa matters: Could you manage visa support documents to the participants, who need visa to enter your country?

Additionally, please address the following questions:

a) What months are possible for you to host the BC Presidents Meeting in 2025? Please exclude May, June, July as these months will be busy for BRIDGE Summer Camp.

b) Why is your country/region interested in hosting the BC Presidents Meeting?

c) What challenges might arise when hosting this meeting in your country?

d) How will the Liaison Office in your country support this meeting?

e) How will the Tourism and Convention Bureau in your country contribute to the success of this meeting?
