BCIO Organizational Structure

In the 2nd BC Presidents Meeting, one of 4 topics discussed was about BCIO Organizational Structure. In another topic, BC Development Strategy, it was agreed that BCIO needs to build a system to provide stronger support and leadership to BCs, focusing on the improvement of "Communication, Action, and Respect (through collaboration)". Thus, in line with the development strategy, the organization structure was also agreed to change in order to run the system effectively.

The BCIO restructure is as follows:

1. The title of Area Manager is changed to Development Manager. There are 2 Development Manager, each is focusing on Professional Members and Student Members.

2. New position is created, that is Mentor who will support BC Work Group to fasten BC growth and development. There are 5 Mentors supporting 9 to 10 BCs in each Work Group.

The Development Managers and Mentors must be former Head Office Members. The term of office for Development Managers is until the 3rd BC Presidents Meeting in 2018 and the term of Mentors is 1 year.

This new structure will be effective from Jan 1st, 2016 onwards.
